But this growler fill is FREE ( :grinning: ), how is that a poor value?

THAT growler fill is "free" (with purchase of ridiculously marked up container, the price of which also includes a marked up beer), but most places that do growler fill typically sell them at or even above the price of a 6-pack of the same beer. Its fine for draft-only releases, but for shelf beer (which is the majority of what you'll see at growler fi stations) its less beer in a much less convenient format.

Growlers and 750's are typically a ripoff.

Just want to say that I have one of these Portland growlers, and its a really well done, handmade ceramic, personalized growler. I think they run somewhere around $75 directly from the producer. So that in mind, it makes the $125 price tag seem less outrageous (although granted its still pretty ridiculous).

Too bad there are reports of them leaking (bubbling around the seal)

Sadly yes. There is a video posted to the CCB Facebook page of it bubbling out the seal of the new growler. Another person person commented they were having the same issue. And someone else in a Facebook beer group reported the same thing (and that the BA Dark Woods tasted amazing when he cracked it when getting home). One of the bartenders at CCB reportedly said that they had already had a couple of reports of the new ceramic growlers have issues with the seal and that anyone having an issue should contact CCB so they can address the issue.

Mine is sitting in the fridge until Sunday. Haven't seen it bubbling at all yet.

True. Just drank their porter aged in wine barrels two days ago. Delicious, and $8 is reasonable.

Sour Monkey is extremely reasonably priced for a 750 mL sour. Also White Monkey was horrendous but cheap.

My big thing also, I dont want a 64 of a huge BA beer like that. Maybe to share, but even then my friends and I normally split a 32 of anything. Then move on to the next beer. I cant remember the last 64 I didnt buy for a party (La Folie was for a company cookout).

Yeah, it is a bit of bad timing with the 64 oz law in florida. The 32oz crowler is a much better option for a variety of reasons. It would be a rare circumstance where a 64oz growler would be preferable.
