I was up there for the Peach release last year which was also the Great Taste Saturday...it was not that crazy and there was no need to be there before 8:30 or 9.

I know it has been discussed and everyone has their own opinion as to when you should/can/do arrive at NG, but can someone who has been at these releases before please weigh in on the following question? Thanks in advance.

If we arrived on Thursday at say 9-9:30, do you think we would still be able to get our hands on the release? (obviously you cant know for certain here, but your best guess).

The post right above yours should be helpful, given that Great Taste Saturday is typically the busiest of the three days.

I would say yes. Not as many people are able to make it Thursday mornings because of work (me included). Should be just fine. But, as you've said, I can't be 100% sure.

Funniest part about all of this is that everyone on this thread make up about 75%-80% of the people showing up. There will be plenty to go around and people shouldn't be worried about not getting any bottles so long as they show up before 9:30-10 AM. Last year Deb was standing on the bottom of the stairs looking for people to hand tickets to for nearly an hour every day but the day of GTOM. Unless they made significantly less this year compared to Wild Peach (no indication one way or the other) I don't see how this year will be any different.

What if I get there at 8:45?

I'm local and won't be able to make it down there until about 11:45. Even then, I'm not too worried.

IIRC, I went to the Wild Peach release last year on Friday, got there around 10-10:30 and was one of the last people to get some that day. As everyone has said, they will last longer Thursday and not quite as long Saturday most likely.

So, I'll be there tomorrow. Are you nerds really bottle sharing out front? Should I bring something?

I think there's a tall boy of High Life somewhere in the back of this fridge.

According to the label, they made a 38 barrel batch, which would be around 8,900 500ml bottles. Obviously not all of it is getting bottled/sold Thurs-Sat but I bet the vast majority is. Not sure if the 38 barrel figure accounts for losses during barrel aging, but either way I still think it's safe to assume there is at least as many bottles as there was of Peach.

I did this last year. It was nice to be able to do the hard hat tour on the GTMW Friday, and the tour was great, but they didn't do anything special on the tour for the release / GTMW. It would have been nice to have bottles of Wild Peach or something unique at the tasting at the end. Everything we had was just shelf stuff. Hopefully they do something special this year.

With 35 people all of which waited early in line to get their own bottles, it would be logically they would just open even a couple bottles to sample. And if everyone on the tour asks.....

FYI Ill be there with two others...

I suppose you could do that, assuming you want to lug your bottles around on the tour for an hour.
