Im pretty sure they mark your hand when you actually purchase your tickets to get the beer. Hopefully people won't abuse the system though!

There will always be people who abuse every system.

Line is way longer than I expected. And I heard more than one employee say that they were really surprised by the line. Now enjoying breakfast.

Update on situation with remaining wristbands, etc.? Need to check to see if I can cash my wager at the window here at the Venetian.

A friend who is there just told me wristband plus giant X on your hand so the double dipping should be kept to a minimum.

Are they going to sell out before the end of the line? I won't be able to get there until 10:30.

I arrived at 8:40 and was back on the road by 9. I'm not sure what time the line started moving but when I arrived I could park in one the first spots in the dirt lot to the left.

Line is over, it appeared as though there were still plenty left.

Damn, so they started pretty early today? Bummer, could have made it down. Hopefully enough left in 2 hrs.

So after all of that (as predicted) you could show up after the release began at 9 AM and be just fine, no matter how long the line appeared to be. Good to know.

Crowd doubled from Vintage on Saturday to today on same arrival time. Pretty surprised.

They started selling at about 8:30. It was the earliest I've gotten there all year and the furthest back I've been. Going again tomorrow, but I'm not even going to think about Saturday. They knocked out out of the park though with having people directing the parking.

    Anyone Crack one open yet?

The line just appeared longer today I think. It was still long, but it was less dense all the way through. Dan made his speech at about 815, and the line started moving by 820. I was back on the road around 835-840. I got in line at 720.

I assume they will start earlier than 9 tomorrow as well, but that shouldn't encourage people to arrive earlier. There is literally no need. I'm sure that they are STILL selling bottles as I type this.

Also, I was told by one of the volunteers that tomorrow they are looking to start scanning IDs to prevent circumvention of the rules.

Just grabbed 2 bottles, in and out quick. No need to stress about it selling out at 9am

This is true. Line was pretty sparse in the section we were in, much more so than last year's GTotMW release.

The wrist bands are just to confirm you are 21, nothing more. The black X and tickets allow you to purchase the beer. The line moved crazy fast to purchase. I think more people had cash and the totes made it much quicker to grab your beer and be on your way. Great job New Glarus!

Hopefully all those employees stationed around the parking lot will help at least slow down the people who change clothes in their car and get back in line.

Once again they've got the whole process down so it runs nice and quick. They really improved over the 3 days of the peach release and it has been pretty smooth ever since.
