Agreed. And the guy working the parking lot area I parked in was eyeing me like a hawk when I was leaving. I was wearing a coat, ballcap, and sunglasses. I took off my coat and ballcap and he was on me until I left. Too bad people try to game them and they have to do that.

Because they were well staffed and executed a flawless plan to accommodate that many people at once. There were multiple people working every area. Multiple people parking cars. And communicating with each other via some system. Multiple people handing out wristbands. Multiple people taking payment in both the cash and credit lines. Multiple people handing out the beer itself. Multiple people working in each gift shop.

They had the right number of people there to handle it. Was flawless. Everyone knew their role and how to keep things moving. So awesome. And such a cool place.

Anyone get a clear idea of what the final bottle count was for this release?

Haha when I was walking back up the steps to show my brother around the brewery she was like you guys aren't going to try and buy more are you? It made me laugh just because she recognized me from last year because I shared the name Rocco with their Security Dog. So its not like I could really pull the wool over anyone's eyes very easily I am a familiar face at this point.

Also some extremely sad news was Rocco actually passed recently.:slight_frown: There's a picture of me holding him from last years wild peach release taken on friday I think that should be on NG's facebook page (I don't have a facebook) so if someone finds that post it. Next beer is for Rocco and his service keeping us all safe RIP.

I saw Deb in the parking lot changing a trash can that looked like it had gallons of liquid coming out of the bag as she was carrying it to the dumpster.

At the Great Taste Dan was there breaking down their booth with everyone else until it was completely down.

    Just amazing people.

I asked if the wristband guaranteed you the beer, and was told it does.

Was anyone else terrified of the new totes when they first saw them? They definitely feel more secure than cramming bottles into their regular 6 packs, but my lord having 90% of the bottle showing made me a bit nervous at first.

I didn't trust them myself... cradled my beer like a baby. They felt really secure though

I definitely saw a guy drop his tote with the bottles In it, nothing broke though so it seems they were pretty sturdy. Still pretty amazed neither bottle broke.

Deb turned away a lady yesterday morning before 10 saying she had seen her come through the line at least once already. She reluctantly, but without arguing, walked away. It was thoroughly enjoyable to watch.

Even before heading to Madison, Dan was running around the brewery, which smelled of malts during a new brew. These people are salt of the Earth. Even if they don't brew Alt, Iced Barleywine, or any of the other old ones that haven't resurfaced for 5+ years, it's hard to complain when they put on events like this. The efficiency was completely absurd given how many people were there. In the past getting in line at 8:30 meant plenty of time to share and talk in line. That is no longer the case. A tip of the cap to the whole NG crew. Very well done.

Talked to a girl from Michigan at the great taste who said she walked away with 16 bottles herself over the three days and had close to 40 between her, her boyfriend and their friend

The staffing is flawless, but let's not forget the space NG has for parking. Almost every other brewery wouldn't have parking for 1/10 of the cars that were at NG.

The process isn't without flaws. Maybe that women I saw turned away was the one you were talking to and she had been through the line more than Deb even remembered.

Let's put it this way - once the gates were opened - One had to move at a brisk walk just to keep up with the line moving. You didn't stop moving until you had your bottles in hand -

In other words, no matter your spot in line - The "Opening until bottles in hand" time was literally the time it took a person to walk from their spot to the Courtyard...

    Helluva release...

Have to agree with others, the efficiency of New Glarus during these events is unparalleled. The fact is they make all around good f@#king beer and their special releases rival any other brewery out there. Everyone else in the business should take a note.

Just chilling at that brewery, eating some pizza and drinking some spotted cow, raspberry tart and moon was enough to make for a great day!

Hopefully all the "you need to show up at 8am to be safe" posts will stop now after reading all the reviews about how smooth another release has gone and how people are getting in and out in 5 minutes.

They had so much beer for sale it didn't matter when you showed-up...basically if you tried to get the "Wild Barrel" "BBBB" or whatever anyone wants to call it, you got it.
