I have a few questions. I have a friend of mine who is going out to Green Bay in the beginning of February. I would like him to bring me back some New Glarus, so I was just curious as to can you get New Glarus products in Green Bay, and are they hard to come by, and also what is typically available? Thanks for any help.

New glarus can be found at about any gas station anywhere in wisconsin. Can find almost all there lineup about anywhere and there special lineup at bottle shops. Should have no problem at all finding it

Easy to find pretty much everywhere in Wisconsin. Even the current Thumbprints and fruit beers are at most gorcery stores. Shelf sixers are usually about $8, fruits about $10, and Thumbprint 4/pks about $10.

New Glarus really knows how to take care of the local market!

Tell your buddy to head over to Ridgeview and give Chris some business. He's the best representative of craft beer north of Milwaukee, treats his customers right, and is friendly. All truth.

Strawberry Rhubarb and Serendipity are still around here and there as well.

I have even seen the gift packs out with (2) NG flutes, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Serendipity. (IIRC)

The only rare New Glarus beers are the 20th Anniversary Belgian Strong and any R&D series they decide to release. Both are brewery exclusives (20th occasionally makes its way into some bottle shops). Def worth calling the brewery to see if they have any R&D available!

    The 20th saw wide distribution.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how many shops around the state got it. I could have sworn when I visited last year around this time that the brewery said it was exclusive to them. Maybe it was at that time.

It's a good beer that has changed a lot with some age. In a good way.

Agreed. And I guess I should clarify - I say 'wide' based on the fact that I bought a case of it at the Appleton Woodman's at least a month after it had come out.

It was just as wide distro as everything else NG puts out....20th Anny was in grocery stores, gas stations, **** shops, and book stores.

Either way, it's a good example of a Belgian strong ale, and it's evolved really nicely. Wouldn't mind a beer like that being brewed/distributed every few years.

Anyone know how the NG selection is at Woodman's in Kenosha. Hoping to go on Friday.

Haven't been there recently, but they should have all of the fruit beers (unless Strawberry Rhubarb is out), Spiced Ale, probably Apple Ale, and maaaaaybe some Imperial Weizen. All of the regular lineup, too. They don't have anything super rare out right now.

No Imperial in Kenosha, went through twice in the last month.

Also I personally did not care for 20th Anniversary, and wouldn't buy a second bottle. Unlike most other 500 ml release from New Glarus.

I liked the complexity it gained over the past six months. I think they can do better, though.

Was the Imperial Weizen bottled & released several times? I had some last fall when it first came out and loved it but I wonder if I'm lucky enough to find some still in stores now if it will still be as good.
