Thanks for the heads-up! I consider this an excellent fall line-up.

I'm looking forward to more canned offerings. I have to travel to Wisconsin pretty regularly and I can drag back almost 2X as many cans as bottles while keeping my bag under 50lbs.
Fat Squirrel and Staghorn cans sound awesome.
I don't think I've had Uff Da in years. I'll grab some of those no matter what they're packaged in!

is chocolate stout new? I also wonder if we will ever see a mixed 12pk of cans?

I tried reading through the thread to see if there were comments about a 3rd R&D release. Sorry if I missed the update, but are we going to see a 3rd one? Thanks in advance for any input.

My understanding was that there were 3 beers released on two dates and both of those happened already.

Weirdly enough I actually had a dream I was in a store buying Staghorn cans. I didn't mention it only because my prophecy about a cookies & cream Dark Load variant I posted in the Beer Dreams thread never came true. Still, my 50% is a better batting average than any of the other prophets I've ever heard of...

The third one usually coincides with New Glarus Octoberfest but haven't seen anything official announced for this year (and we probably won't until around a week before).

In the announcement of the Kriek and Vintage '17 release they stated that it was the final release of the year. No doubt there are still plenty of both at the Depot, though.

Still lots of kriek at the depot. Also both vintages, sour porter, gotlandic, 25th, with the smallest pile being champ rouge. Pleasantly surprised to see Mistral back too!!!!

I made a trip to the brewery today and somebody with Illinois plates passed me in the parking lot to steal a parking spot lol. Also, Cranbic and Strawberry Rhubarb are no longer available if anyone is interested.

What are they doing for their last R&D this weekend?

Five posts up I mentioned that they don't have another R&D this weekend or for the rest of the year. The Great Taste release was the last one.

The beers are now listed on their beer schedule. https://newglarusbrewing.com/beers/beerschedule

Here's a description for the Chocolate Stout: https://newglarusbrewing.com/beers/OurBeers/Beer/chocolate-stout

I was hoping that Edel Pils would be re-brewed--Apparently it was supposed to be as part of their 25th Anniversary--according to this article anyways: http://allaboutbeer.com/new-glarus-25-years-on/

Knowing New Glarus, probably 5-6%. But kind of hoping New Glarus would surprise me with one of these big boy stouts.

This beer is in 4pks so I’d be shocked to see anything less than 8%, right? Then again it’s not labeled as Chocolate Imperial Stout..
