As of 1:00 yesterday afternoon, the only R&D bottles at the taproom were Vintage ‘17 and Gotlandic.

Looking forward to picking some up. Pretty cool that it's double-decocted and open fermented.

Goofy technical question: If they say statewide by next week, does that mean every nook and cranny will be stocked by then, but some places sooner? So, if someone was passing near a Madison Woodman's around Sun., say, there might be a chance some Kids would be there?

Also, I looked at that trademark site a bit. Looks like they renewed some older labels recently. Wonder if that's just to keep them up or if it's a clue to unearthing some stuff.

But when you wanted a nickname for your beer, which one comes to mind first:
    Michael
    Lebron
    Kobe

    I know, unique nicknames

Thanks for the tip! I know there's some goat/kid joke here... but they're not that easy, actually.

    How is it?

I'm excited for something new that's not a Thumbprint. (I'm not a fruit/sour fan yet, so oh well.)

Staghorn, Laughing Fox, Snowshoe and small drops of Scream and Strawberry Rhubarb to finish out the season.

Laughing Fox is one of those I missed during the decade + I wasn't anywhere near Wisc., so looking forward. Sounds interesting. Thanks for the tip!

The goat illustration more than anything is just the goat version of the cow on the Spotted Cow label. At least that's what it seems like to me.

Anyone heard any rumors what the GTMW R&D will be?

The Kid is alright. A lot of nice subtle flavors that really come out. I haven't had a ton of other Kolsch, really... Mainly because they seem like light ales in the hands of less skilled brewers. Not this, though. It's complex, the dryness is balanced at the end (i.e., it doesn't yank your tongue off), and it's effervescent without feeling overcarbonated. Nice way to ease into the back half of summer.
