This is one of my favorites. Has it reached southern Wisconsin yet? I was thinking about driving north tomorrow.

Tenuta's in Kenosha has it as well as Woodman's. It is a good brew but like was already mentioned it is not much of a stout.

This beer blew. When will breweries stop trying to make cherry stouts?

I think it's quite tasty as long as you aren't anticipating a true stout.

I found it to be more like a lambic than a stout.

If its anything like the last batch I'd buy all I could if it were available locally. Hopefully my WI hookup is making the trip back this way soon so I won't have to trade for some.

I would totally agree with this. Love NG's fruit beers, but this stuff is certinaly not my thing. Could not finish a bottle. FWIW, I dont care for Central waters cherry stout either.

I thought the Cherry Stout was actually pretty tasty, but I fully agree that it didn't taste like a stout at all. Less tart than the Belgian Red and with a cleaner finish that isn't as cloyingly sweet. They should re-brand it as a Cherry Dubbel or something.
