All outstanding in their own way and as you can see, not a big separation.

Had it Friday night at Sugar River Pizzareia in New Glarus. Awesome beer and I'm definitely going to hoard a bunch of this.

I know! But it will still be cool to get one and debut as a brand new beer! I just hope my rep snags one before everyone else does! (24 barrels in stock)

During the Civil War, one of Wisconsin's regiments brought a bald eagle into battle with them. His nickname was Old Abe. Since Bald Eagles are famous for their screams, my guess is that this is where the name comes from, hence the homage on the label. Pretty cool. I think Old Abe was picked up as a young eagle somewhere along the Mississippi.

Where did you find your bottles? Anywhere near Milwaukee?

Thanks for the tidbit of history. I bought a 4pk in Sun Prairie. I'm sure Milwaukee will have it this week.

I'm sticking with the theory that it's named after a Six Flags roller coaster.

I was at the brewery today and was really hoping to try it in the tasting room, but it wasn't available. I had to settle for Dancing Man Wheat and Serendipity. Poor me!

I'm not sure why they don't put their thumbprint beers on in the tasting room. They definitely keg it, you'd think they'd enjoy rewarding folks for the journey out there. Did they have bottles for sale yet?

Unfortunately, it was not available when I was there on Monday (6/9). I asked an employee in the beer depot and he said they did have it, but they were currently sold out. However, he was expecting more very soon.

It's just a shame they don't keg that or Berliner. They said because of the amount of co2 they don't keg them.

Is Scream better than IIPA? Opinions? Or is it the same beer?

II don't care for too much New Glarus except for their fruit beers, but I would really like to try that IIPA
