Someone that is more tech savvy than me should post this on their Facebook page. They're still not saying what the next Thumbprint is after someone asked them if it would be the Berliner Weiss.

 

Just picked up a case of it so it has hit retail. Barrel aged and with reisling grapes just like last time.

 

What was case price?

 

$56 and I am pretty sure if you head to Woodman's it is going to be a few dollars cheaper. For a case of Berliner, its a steal seeing as some breweries put them in large format bottles and charge $10+ per bottle.

 

I did. I've never had the style before, so I have nothing to compare it too, but it was very good. There was a dry champagne type quality to the beer. I tasted a number of different fruits (apples, lemons, grapes). There was also a bit of funkiness too, which was great. I would imagine it would taste even better on a hot summer day.

I'll definitely be picking up at least another 4 pack!

 

Just had one and it was really good. Super dry, tart lemon, green apple. Prolly my favorite thumbprint so far!

 

For anybody who had the previous version, has the recipe stayed the same?

 

Same description on the label as the Unplugged Berliner Wiesse.

 

Looking forward to trying this.

Finally able to try this for the first time tonight and I am once again thankful I live in Wisconsin! Bring on the Summer, because this is going to taste even better when it's 80 degrees outside. I'm relieved it will be easy to attain the next three months.

 

Maybe. The FIBs might come take it all.

Seriously, though, I do expect it to hang around certain retail locations for a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is gone from the distributors pretty quickly, as well as from some retail locations (e.g. Woodman's in Kenosha). I don't know production numbers, but the last batch of Enigma moved pretty quickly as I recall.

 

Yesterday Woodmans Kenosha told me next week. Anyone hear otherwise?
