You can only buy it at the depot in New Glarus right now. It's supposed to hit stores next week. I can't wait.

No, I think the question implied if it had hit stores in general yet  New Glarus is not in MN nor will be in the forseeable future. I wish, I'm so lazy and never get over to WI to grab these things so I live vicariously through those folks on here. I did snag a New Glarus gift set though recently with a Rhubarb Wheat, Serenity and 2 champagne flutes. I must say that thing is purdy.

I called Casanovas Monday and they said its at least 2 weeks out and hasn't even been released to their distributor by New Glarus.

Interesting, since my friend was at NG just yesterday and they had already sold out at the Depot. I'm used to NG's stuff being the other way around sometimes and hitting accounts first but was very surprised to hear he wasn't able to bring me any back from the brewery.

Ray's in Milwaukee got theirs today. I was at the Depot on Saturday and picked up a couple cases. If they didn't have another pallet in the back, it was going to be gone quick.

I'll have mine in on Friday (in Stevens Point), barring any distribution related catastrophe.

Looks like I'll be making a trip to Piggly Wiggly in Platteville this weekend!

By any chance, have you been to Kieler's Grocery and Liquor store in Dickeyville? It's just a bit closer (coming from Iowa) and the time I was there, they had a decent selection of NG. I'm planning to take a NG run soon, too, and wonder if they might have Oud Bruin. According to the NG beer finder, neither has it, but it may just need updated.

If you're driving through Wisco, must-stops are: Trixie's & Star Liquor in Madison, Liquor Central in Lake Delton, Showboat Saloon in Wisconsin Dells (excellent growler fills), Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire (good food, too) and Casanova in Hudson. Pick up: Scream, Oud Bruin, TG beers, FFF beers, Lazy Monk, Lake Louie Bunny Green Toe, Warped Speed, and Louie's Reserve, Black Husky Pale Ale & Howler... anything I'm missing?

Stopped in Hudson around 11 today. Two 4-pack limit at Casanovas and they didn't have alot of it. Stopped at the place near the Nova and they didn't get any.

Huh. Check grocery stores. They're all getting thumbprints now, and they never have limits.

It's pretty good if you are into the Oud Bruin style. La Folie is a bit better, but I have only had that beer aged, so I suppose this will get even better over time. Some concerns over caps that are already rusted.

I'll have to try La Folie again. I didn't love it- I felt like NG's Oud Bruin is really more of an Oud Red, if there is such a thing. More caramel/roasted malt character and just a touch of sour.

I don't know about rusty caps. Usually it denotes an older beer, but I'm going to have to open another one now to see...

I feel like its a sweeter Rodenbach or something like that.

Just drinking another one. It pairs amazingly well with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
