I have a Madison Wisc. friend who owes me a huge beer favor. Any thoughts on when New Glarus offerrings are more prolific then other times of the year?

if you check the schedule you'll see there are usually overlapping months (like april) where some of the old stuff is still sitting and the new stuff is arriving. Late July/August should be one of those transitional months I think. Either way, you might wanna call in the favor with the upcoming release of wild sour ale next week.

New Glarus isn't like most breweries in regards to extremely rare and limited beers. Aside from the very rare brewery only releases there aren't any occasions where a release of their's requires a mad dash to the store. Sure something might sell out the first time it hits the shelves but it will always be replenished. There is more than enough supply to meet demand.

They are always prolific but if you want a brewery only beer try having him go to the brewery during the weekend of the great taste of the midwest. Be warned though just because its brewery only doesn't mean its gonna some crazy thing they had bourbon barrel kriek once but they did two women as an R&D release which is now a year round brew in six packs so it can go either way. So if your looking for potential whales or rares your barking up the wrong tree with NG.

The weekend of "Great Taste Of The Midwest" up in Madison, they usually release one or two brewery only releases. See if you can convince your friend to drive to the brewery from Madison (it's not that far).
