Was at the brewery today, R&D Golden Ale is all gone. They were all tight-lipped about what R&D was next but let's hope it's imminent.

For those interested, R&D Golden Ale is still at Discount Liquor. Sure it won't last too long, pretty tasty.

Glad I got mine when I was there in April. I am hoping for something in the Lambic family for the next one. They had to make some experimental, batches before deciding to buy their new oak fodders.

There a few weeks ago for the hard hat tour, said there is a lambic coming to R&D around August. Most likely in conjunction with GTMW again.

when I was there over Memorial weekend, one of the employees said that they were working on Enigma again. that should be in the Thumbprint series as opposed to the R&D series, but you never know. either way, stoked! would love to see a lambic.

Would not be opposed to Enigma either. I liked it a lot.

Will this sell out quickly or will have literally a year to buy it like the golden ale?

Depends what kind of beer it is. The bourbon barrel kriek and gueuze sold out pretty quickly (I think the kriek was day of) and the golden ale and two women lager stayed around forever.

Hmm gonna have to get kinda lucky then... Do they announce ahead of time when it will go on sale or are they like Bell's and just put it on the shelf?

Either way they do it, hopefully they put a restriction on the quantity you can buy. The last GTMW release people were buying multiple cases at a time. I am hoping there is some left after the fest, so I can head up to the brewery and pick some up.

There was a limit of 3 per of both per person at the release during GTMW 2010 Weekend

I'm sure a few people skirted the system.. but for the most part, they tried to limit it.

I may be nieve, but what does Two Women have to do with the R&D beers?

The initial release was brewery only (except for Discount Liquor of course) and while not technically a R&D beer, it sometimes get grouped in with them because it came in the same 500mL bottle.

Any reason they used the R&D labels on those bottles?

They never said R&D on them. I just took a picture of the 4 bottles side by side.

The original Two Woman is second from the left
