"Hey MAN. We should get up at 5am and drive to New Glarus for the release tomorrow!"-Drunk Dude #1 on Friday night
"OH dude. That sounds AWESOME. I'll set my phone alarm..."- Drunk Dude #2
    The next morning...
"AAAUUuuuRRRRGHHHHH". -Drunk Dude #1 throwing his phone across the room and going back to sleep.

And that's why you always remember to drink a pint of water with every pint of beer.

The lot filled by 7:15 or so. There are make shift parking areas to the left and on the way up the driveway

Tons of parking so don't worry about them running out of space but I did get my exercise walking to and from my car.

FWIW, we stood and watched the last person that had been waiting in line get their ticket. It was #488 and that was about 8:35am. There were people coming into the lot after that, but as long as you were at the brewery by 8:30am, you were unquestionably going to get some Wild Peach.

I rolled in at 9am and got #705. Also, my friend already had one of his bottles pop. So... be careful.

Did ticket #750 have to wait till everyone else received their bottles? Or does that even matter? 1 ticket any # equals two sours?

Trading/shipping these might not be advisable if they're overcarbed. I had two different packages with Berliner in them (presumably) explode in transit. I was hoping to hook up a regular trading partner or two but given my Berliner experience I'm a little concerned now.

#750 was right in front of me in line, and there were probably about 75 people behind me. After a certain point, numbers didn't matter there was just a line.

Just opened one..... I would describe it as having low carbonation, in fact. Certainly not "over-carbonated" by any stretch of the imagination.

Besides that...its peachy, its sour and its delicious! Enjoy ém!

I felt this release went fairly smooth today @ NG. I dont understand all this talk of extra allotments. I think that maybe one or two "scammers" who tried to cheat the system were out there today.

What I would like to mention is about the bottle sharing this year... This year exponentially way more beers were being popped than any previous year. Also noticed alot of spilled beer on the New Glarus property and lots of empty bottles, beer cups, etc. just laying around. Lets not make this a situation where it makes Deb and Dan say that we cant crack a few beers while we patiently wait in line for these world class R&D sour beers. Remember we are still guests on Dan and Deb's property and they are a pair of humble and awesome hosts! Let show them some respect please; pick up after yourself and the mess you make. New Glarus is one of the most beautiful breweries in the nation in my opinion; lets keep it beautiful so that many other can enjoy it when they visit for the first time.

Emphasis added. I left about 11:30, and saw tons of bottles in parking lot. I saw a few in planters in the patio area, too. Really annoying, especially since the space is absolutely gorgeous.

While this is all on the people in the lot, did New Glarus put out any extra trash cans? Not that they need to, but it could help out next year.

I'll bet they'll have some out as quickly as tomorrow. At least some of those cardboard trash boxes.

They should not have to put extra trash cans out. Trash cans are all over the property. 2 or 3 near the beer depot and main stairs of the brewery. Multiple in the beer garden and gift shop.

Unfortunately this is not unique to this release, it seems to occur at many/most releases. Bottle sharing is great but leave no trace. Dispose of empty bottles responsibly. Is it really hard?

Yes, I agree. BUT what I am mentioning is that this did not happen to this extent in the past R&D releases. I totally agree with everything else you say. Its not hard to dispose of empties and bottle share without a trace.
