Several friends there right now are reporting many people going back to the end of line to get a second ticket. Some people are simply pathetic!

 

So people are still getting tickets?

Well it seems had they required everyone to remain in line while passing out tickets, they'd still be passing out tickets likely. I understand and appreciate the low key approach but it's also ripe (peach pun intended) for abuse. I wouldn't doubt these same people who are 'repeach' customers will do the same thing tomorrow and Sunday unfortunately.

 

With no way to really check names, there is no way to prevent that from happening.

Well it's not that different (in my opinion) than bringing extra people to stand in line and just give you their beer. I don't like either but they are both gonna happen. I'll just be at Three Cellars tomorrow in hopes of Assassin and it is what it is, but I won't probably taste this beer or VSB ever.

 

Someone take a picture of the line and post it. I want to see 700-750 people in line.

 

Whose going to track it? Unless they can scan it in real-time, it won't prevent double dipping.

They could make people stay in line the whole time, that way people cant get out of line n head to the back for a second ticket. Tickets are just for ease of mind, you leave the line you lose your spot.

 

Unless they have a list of names to check against, this doesn't do anything. There might be some POS systems that scan and track IDs, but not sure they have that system in place.

The new line is the old line. Here's what you do- you line up all 750 before opening for sales. Any holes in the line get filled by folks waiting in a second line. Don't start sales until you have a line full of 750 people. It'd take some time and a few staff members, but it'd guarantee everyone there has a shot and minimize double dipping.

 

This is how I remember it happening last year. No wonder 750 tickets are gone with far less than 750 people. Love the hoarder mentality.
