New Glarus Staghorn

    A thread on the main board got me interested in trying some NG Staghorn this year, but I don't see it listed on their website. Does anybody local have any more definite information about whether it will be released, and if so when?

    Hopefully in two days when it is August they will update their website. Don't have anymore definitive information, but their fall beers have to be soon...

    I really hope they do release it again this year because Staghorn is awesome. I know I bought the shit out of it last year and would gladly do the same this year.

    staghorn came out like a week before the great taste last year because I picked up a case that weekend.

    Stone Soup is already on the shelf, so Staghorn can't be far behind.

    I was told by their rep that both Staghorn and Fat Squirrel were being released August 1st

    Staghorn usually is out in August.

    Looks like I was a few days too early in checking their website- thanks for the info, everybody. Good to hear it will be available.

    Staghorn, Stone Soup and finally thevreturn of the Squirrel! looks to be a good fall.

    I heard aug 1st as well. Do they make multiple batches? I'm not sure I want a staghorn this early...

    I can't say for sure, but there is quite a bit of it so I would think it is not all one batch.

    That's what I was thinking too. Just wondered if anyone knew for sure. Either way it was good in oct last year. Probably my favorite Oktoberfest beer.

    Bought a six pack of Stone Soup this past Saturday at Discount in Milwaukee. I haven't seen it anywhere else, and it wasn't at Discount the last time I was there (two weeks ago or so). I'm guessing it was delivered Friday or Saturday. (Beechwood usually gets NG beers into their warehouse on Thursdays from what I can tell.)

    As for Staghorn, tomorrow is August.

    I would bet anything it is not. When I buy seasonals over multiple months the bottle date always changes.

    The guy at Alpine liquor in Oregon said Staghorn was in already. I called right as they opened and caught the guy off guard so I dont know that I would trust what he was saying.
