Probably not like enigma. No mention of cherries on the bottle. Never had r&d, but would venture its going to be similar

I'm glad we call it BCBS and not BCS. Because that connotation with the Bullshit Championship Series would dim my enjoyment of BCBS a little bit. Can't have that.

I wonder if it will be like Enigma. Looking back at the reviews of Unplugged Sour Brown Ale there is mention of it resembling Enigma, with oak and cherry notes. The image I posted above says notes of cedar, caramel, and green plum (sour!), so that makes it seem doubtful. This will be interesting to taste!

Probably not. When New Glarus posted about the new release during last year's GTOMW on facebook it was announced as a 'Sour Brown Ale,' But the R&D Sour Ale was a golden lambic-style sour. Just a social media goof-up.

Do they normally have new stuff available at the brewery earlier than when the shipments start? I'm headed there on 7/7 and hoping to get some.

Except me. I am the guy who missed it and still would not mind scoring a bottle when I head up to WI in a couple of weeks. I know it sucks, but I love NG and Scotches.

Scotch Ales are my favorite style, and this was definitely not a scotch ale in my opinion.

Also I know where you could most likely get a bottle depending on where in Wisconsin you are going.

Traveling up from Indiana through Milwaukee up to Green Bay. Any tips would be appreciated.

Woodmans in Kenosha had a few last weekend. It's worth a shot because it's right off the highway.

Discount in Waukesha only has a few singles. That is where I was gonna tell him about.

Winter Warmer is pretty much everywhere...I went on a search and destroy mission for Belgian Red and I saw Winter Warmer more than Berliner Weiss, IIPA, and Apple Ale!!!

Thanks to my fellow BAs that helped me score Winter Warmer, well out of season. Yes, there is still plenty around.

Now a request for more help from my WI BA's. Currently in Green Bay and can't seem to find Ale Asylum Bedlam. Anybody seen it up North. If not, headed home on Sunday. Any recent sightings in Milwaukee or Kenosha? Tips are appreciated. Ale Asylum's website says this is in production until Sept, so I am hopeful.

Pretty sure Discount Liquor in Milwaukee has Bedlam.

I don't think I have seen Bedlam anywhere in Green Bay. We only just recently started getting Ale Asylum, which has only been there staple, year round beers (nut-brown, hopalicious, contorter, and ambergeddon)

Talked to the local distro guy here in Kenosha yesterday and he said we probably won't see any Bedlam this year.
