I am officially in love with Stone Soup. I can't believe there isn't more love for it in this forum.

New Glarus' forte is fruit beers, so why not?

I hoped this was topped with news of it's release. F*cking tease.

I love Apple Ale, it's the perfect beer around the Holidays.

Is going to the brewery worth it for buying beer? Im going for a tour, but should we budget time for stopping somewhere else to shop?

If you are there for a tour, why wouldn't it be worth it for buying NG beer? Stop at Woodman's if you want to waste hours staring at beer and trying to decide what to buy.

You might be right since the last 'apple' beer I had was from Leinenkugals and it um...sucked. Was many years ago.

I just meant in terms of varieties and whatnot.

I've done tours before where the store down the street had a better selection than the brewery

lol i appreciate your form madison but ive been to the woodmans there and it certainly isn't anything more than any other woodmans when i lived in wi. It would be great if madison had better distro but in reality it doesn't.

I could be driving up to ng to buy a case this year. I traded most of mine away last year and i love apple ale. Anybody else drive to ng to buy in mass quantities.

Well I say it every year but...BUMMER!

I guess I'm in the minority on that opinion, though, or it wouldn't get released yearly.

*Not that i think it's a bad beer mind you, I would just like to see something else this time of year for once. Give the Apple Ale a rest for a year or two like they do every other Thumbprint they brew.

You certainly don't need to drive all the way to New Glarus to buy cases of this.
