Olde English was never recalled, people just didn't bother to read the label and then were surprised/pissed when the beer had an acidic flavor. This of course led to people emailing and calling the brewery which is why they have a lengthy explanation on their site about the beer and why it is only rated at an 84 on here despite being one of the best Unplugged/Thumbprint beers they have released.

The beer was a true gem, complex in so many ways you likely won't see elsewhere for the price. Hopefully they can try a release of something similar in the future.

So is this only going to be sold on Saturday, or all three days like last year?

one of my fav's, I've been hitting up family and friends to include it on the yearly voting for years. I've tried brewing my own version which comes somewhat close, but the NG version was amazing. Now that the world is sour crazy, I'm hoping they bring it back.

I'd love to see that, esp if he started the sale @ 1:00 in the afternoon.

I suspect it will be all three (or four) days like it's been the last two years. As I have heard, one of the problems with the 2010 R&D release that it was put out all on one day, and the MHTG members that were working the GTMW did not get an opportunity to even get to the brewery to buy bottles.

I've been saying this since I heard they where making two beers. They made a ridiculous amount of golden ale if anyone remembers that. Only reason that vsb was so limited is because of the fruit used and the amount needed. A 2 of each limit per day would be ideal to me more people would get beer and hopefully people bringing mules will be satiated sooner. Still I'm sure we will see some guy with 24 bottles post pics of his amazing and enviable "accomplishment".

I missed VSB on Thur last year, but got it on Friday.... I remember sour ale before that was 4 day release also and my brother drove his bike up from Freeport to get me some... This year up for 2 weeks from FL, staying at the Chalet next Wednesday and Thursday night... anyone know if they do tours of the fruit cave? I brought some semi-rare CCB and 7venth Sun, Do they care if you share on the patio ruins? I think I remember seeing a few people with coolers last year.....

Fruit cave is included on the Hard Hat Tour, but that usually books up 4-6 months in advance. Give them a call though and see if you can get added to an alternate list.
