After packing up 5 boxes yesterday, I thought I'd take a break from trading. But dang...

I'm not saying it's not good to cellar or anything. All I'm saying is that it probably won't get funkier or more sour over time. I could be wrong though. I thought I heard Dan Carey say something to that effect in an interview at some point (maybe on the brewing network?). Seems like one of those good problems though

    No.

From the Spotted Cow description: "Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which cannot be duplicated otherwise."

This has hit Woodman's in La Crosse, but I was amazed by how much was gone already. One four pack left on the shelf and only two cases left in back. This was as of 24 hours ago so if there is any left I would be surprised. Still plenty of Winter Warmer as a consolation prize though.

You can pasteurize a beer while also allowing yeast to remain in the bottle. Pasteurization does not equal filtering.

Thanks to this beer I've finally run out of fridge/cellar space and had to resort to storing the extra in my basement. My wife told me to buy a case despite the fact that she's supposed to be the voice of reason that keeps my beer buying in check.

I've only had one bottle but this might be the best beer for the price I've ever had.

Really really really good. Berry, wood, moss, plum sourness that is insanely drinkable. I salute you, Dan Carey.

Scored some at Woodman's thanks. Hard to beat $8.69 for a 4 pack of this stuff. God I'm glad I don't live closer to that place.

Was just at their brewery, their sour brown ale was sold out (thanks a lot FIBs). The worker at their shop told me there will be more Thursday. Wheww.

In Wisconsin now trying lots of New Glarus. If people don't know or haven't read all of this forum...just buy anything New Glarus and try it.

I haven't had many sours but this Thumbprint beer, as well as the Berliner Weiss are top-notch. If your in a border state, a road trip is recommended.

    Cheers!
