Berliner Weisse is a sour, it is fermented with Lactobacillus to give it the tart flavor. There are no grapes in a traditional Berliner Weisse; but it wouldn't be a bad idea...

This is the fastest I ever seen it sell around here, I got lucky and a gas station had 8 left, didn't want to get greedy so only bought 4 of them.

I love sour beers even though I was not a fan of these in the past. We went to the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, CO and they had some awesome sour beers. I'm officially a fan. I can't say that I would grab a six-pack if I had a chance, but if you are doing a brewery tour and you get a chance to try one give it a go! The beer glasses also make a huge difference

For what it is, spotted cow is a good beer. I often gladly purchase 12 packs of this to bring along to help my friends and family try new beers. That is, after all what advocacy is all about, right? I definitely enjoyed a spotted cow before a moon man, before an iipa, before sours. Etc.

Spotted Cow was the first time I drank a beer and thought "Wait not all beer tastes like corn and pee stuck in a bottle!"

I gave it a shot, but I guess I just hate sour beers.

At least some of your favorite beers are hitting shelves now. Oktoberfest!

This beer is delicious, but does have a touch of butter in the finish.

    True dat!

Plus, they still had a few packs of the IIPA on the shelves, so I have 4 of those to test and see how they hold up over time!!

I don't really like much of sour anything aside from sourdough bread so I was not surprised that I did not like it. I know it's an acquired taste and all but I think I am just not a sour guy. I did find the Berliner Wiess OK however.

Doing the BA thing and giving the other 3 bottles away to interested people to give a try who have not had sours.

Any leaks on what the next Thumbprint will be? Man, I would love to see Bohmien Lager brewed again!

I didn't see any there on Monday, but I didn't ask if they had any in the back or were planning on getting more.

I'll save you the experimentation and the loss of a four pack; they aren't getting better. With hop forward beers, it's only downhill from the time it hits the bottle.

Next Thumbprint is Imperial Weizen, although I too would love to see Bohemian Lager.

This isn't my first IPA or Imperial IPA, but some certainly degrade faster than others. I liked it so much fresh decided to see how much it had changed. Almost had one tonight, but had a Furious and a HopDevil instead.

Took five stops, but I finally found some Wild Sour at a gas station near the Kenosha Metra stop. Left a few four packs behind. They also had some IIPA.
