Anyone tried this yet? If yes, how is it? Did Dan succeed?

Came here to find out exactly this... I am really excited for this release, a little different than the usual NG offerings.

Wow, its descriptions sounds promising... may have to make a beer run!

"The latest in the Thumbprint series form the New Glarus Brewery, the Winter Warmer! It’s
a big, rich Scotch Ale loaded with roasted malt and toffee flavors and a long, silky finish. Perfect beer for these cold January nights!"

picked up a single yesterday. Haven't tried it yet.
Dan usually succeeds. Always very true to style.

    Dan has done it well.
    It's pretty darn good.
As is the hallmark of New Glarus Brewing Company, this is incredibly drinkable. I don't know where the ABV comes out, but there isn't any alcohol burn. The toffee and spice notes are subtle and melded quite well.

Go get some and enjoy it!

I love Scotch Ale, so I hope that it is a solid offering.
Drinking a Sheep Shagger as I write this.
Lake Louie Reserve is my favorite. Kicking myself for not buying more of it in the fall to enjoy during the winter.

I picked up a single at Tenuta's in Keno today, and that was all I saw.

It was way in the back. There's plenty. You got one from the same 4pk as me. He split it out to the single rack for me last night.

It is solid. Sheep Shagger and Dirty Bastard are probably bigger beers than this one. Like I said above...solid, and very drinkable.

Tenutas sells the Thumbprint series in singles? What is the cost per bottle? 6 pack?

I paid 2.59 for the single. There was some jagoff arguing on a cell phone back by the NG, so I only gave it a quick glance. Nice to know they take requests though. You obviously have some juice w the staff. Well played

It's my go to store. I know the Beer Manager well enough. If you follow them over on Twitter (@tenutasdeli), he's starting to tweet new arrivals and good stuff that's coming in. If there are things you want, talk to Kyle. He'll handle any reasonable (possible) request.

@BrownAleMale, they've got a new singles rack that they are stocking with some pretty good stuff. Everything on it is individually priced, so it isn't a standard "build a 6" rack for a set price.

Oregon Liquor still had this on the shelves a few weeks ago, and I'd assume they still do.

I drank a bottle of the NG Winter Warmer on Saturday. I enjoyed it, but I will say that it is not the biggest and/or the boldest scotch ale I've ever had, but it's very drinkable and very tasty.
