So... this is a weird situation for me. When I first started getting into craft beer Dragon's Milk was my go to cheap, delicious beer. It was amazingly priced for what you got. I believe it was sub ten dollars a bomber. Hell, when they went to four packs that was 9.99. Amazing, right? Fast forward to lately when I was perusing the shelves at Binnys. I spy Dragon's Milk with its fancy packaging and four bottles. Pick it up and notice the price tag... 16.99?! Are you kidding me? I could go grab any Bell's stout selection for that price AND get more beer. I know it was selling out in 2011 rather quickly, so I don't blame the price increase. Has New Holland jacked the price too high too fast, or am I just being a sissy?
It was probably mis-priced when you found it for $9.99 to begin with, before the 4-packs loose cases were available but those would still price out to $3.50 or so a bottle, we have them for $14.99 but we are in Michigan, who knows the distributor may have invoiced them incorrectly.
Was not a fan of that one when I tried it a few weeks ago on draft. At those prices you mentioned its way overpriced.
Dragon's Milk is one of the most underrated beers out there imo. It is still my go to beer, might have to crack one tonight!
I always thought Dragon's Milk was a solid deal at $14.99 for a 4 pack of a 10% bourbon barrel aged beer.
So, unfortunately... what I gather is Binnys has jacked their prices in comparison to other locations. This weighs heavily on my heart!
Yeah, that's what it is in GR. A few places will have the bombers for around $6 sometimes but about $8 is the usual.
It has been the same price at Binny's for over 2 years $15.99 and bomber $7.99. Where did you see it at $9.99 a four pack, I will go buy it all.
Guess my memory is shot. I swore it was 2.99 a 12 ounce when they came out and I did math wrong in my head.
