They have a triumph brewing brewpub there. I have never been to that one but the one in Princeton is a very cool environment with pretty good food and beers.

+1 to the Triumph Brewpub suggestion. They have very good beer and good food.

    Cheers!

Triumph is probably the best option in that area. Check out River Horse on the NJ side as well as a nice beer selection at Wonderful World of Wines, both right across the river in Lambertville.

If you want to try something else local, walk across the bridge into lambertville,nj and try a sample at River Horse. They are open fri through sunday 12 to 5, abd $1will get you a sample of 4 different things. I was just there this past friday and they had the special ale, hopaloltamus, a chocolate porter, and their summer blonde.

I don't have much to add here. Triumph often has some great beer on tap, and may serve the best burger I've ever had, though their food in general is really good. Tuesdays are also $3 pints all day.

Over the river in Lambertville, River Horse's tap room is (or at least was, when I was last there over a year ago) $1 to try each the beers on tap; when I was there, they were pretty liberal with seconds.

All that said, the both towns' main streets are very walkable and are ripe with restaurants and bars. You could check out places' tap/bottle lists at a pretty good rate just walking around.

If you find yourself at Peddlers Village in Lahaska, PA (about 10 minutes from New Hope) there is the Porterhouse Restaurant and Brew Pub and the newly opened Buttonwood Grill which has a pretty decent tap list and a nice (but a little pricey) bottle selection.

I know you're on a website dedicated to "craft beer" but you said "good drinks" so I will say if it's cold outside go to Triumph. If it's warm out go outside to either Fran's or Havana's. You might not be drinking high quality craft or any craft at all (maybe even mixed drinks or cocktails or...Yuengling) but the atmosphere outside is great.

Last time I was at Havana, sigh, they were pouring Troegenator.

I would suggest the bar at Logan's Inn as an option as well, which is right in the heart of new hope.
You can check their draft menu here: http://www.loganinn.com/menus.php?catid=31

Do try to make the short trek accross the bridge to River Horse as well. Nice little tasting room they have going there!
