I'm done chasing new/#ed hops, but if they were to throw some out there for ~$5/lb (like Belma last year), I'd be glad to get the word out there for them

Azacca and Mosaic are stated to be the two varieties used in Victory's new Hop Ranch DIPA.

Interesting beer...might be worth giving it a try if you want to get a feel for this new variety (Azacca).

I don't chase new varieties myself but what I'm hearing from other people is that a lot of the new varieties have some interesting flavor combinations but nobody is figuring out a good way to put them in beers. El Dorado comes to mind as one of these. How many people are desperate for lifesaver-flavored beer? Who's successfully using these in beers?

That is one hop I kind of want to experiment with, however I am still working through my stock of his from last year and still need to replenish my favorites before I go exploring.

I'm not one to really jump into the new hops. Mosaic I hit up early when it came out.. I like it, but haven't played around with it too much.

El Dorado I haven't been interested in. Azzaca I might give a shot, but I hate the idea of brewing a 1 G batch, and not sure I want to do 5 g of something that I might hate on the premise of the hops ruining it.

Azacca and Mosaic in Hop Ranch did not impress me much.

I personally perceive a significant amount of dankness in Hop Ranch but I have read many posts where folks solely discussed tropical fruit and citrus type flavors.

It is always interesting to see how individual palates vary.

    Cheers!
