Itasca or something...going into Arlington Heights. Miley Finns in libertyville is moving and "Somebody's" going in ther brewpub when they leave in a month. I was hoping for new local brewery, but I believe Timothy O'Tooles is the replacement. Sad face.

 

Anyone heard of a new brewpub on N. Wilwaukee Ave called Taurus?

 

There is a new brewpub in the works in Batavia as well, in the early stages.

. Hailstorm is solid. They have been at all the events so far and more restaurants are having their stuff tapped.

 

These are some good friends of mine. They've been doing some pours around Wheaton for private events and are currently renovating a space in downtown Wheaton for a very small taproom. Ben loves making unusual beers and it seems like that will be his playground while he makes some straightforward beers as well. I've had some great stuff from him, so be on the lookout during mid-summer!

 

A trading buddy is opening up Pollyana Brewing Company in Lemont, IL (outside Chicago). Should be up and going this summer. I may or may not have tried several of their starting line up and all were solid to really good.
