    I don't even think B&L was $20 a bottle. I don't clearly remember, but I can't imagine this would be more.

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it was the variants they sold outside of the four pack variants of B&L that were $18 a bottle... not too sure. It's been a couple years since I've been to an AtG release.

Curious if anyone knows if madtree makes its way to Kentucky? Had some Galaxy high and loved it! The website says some places in Lexington get it but I have never seen it at any of these places.

Madtree is mostly in the NKY area.

What @semibaked said. It only hits Lexington when someone hauls it back from NKY/Cincy.

Well really digging the Galaxy high. Grabbed a 4 pack of it and the can art is killer. I think I am going to be beered out soon as my fridge and cellar is fully stocked! Only thing missing, Mexican chocolate. Can't wait for that bad boy tomorrow.

Might dive into my sinkhole tonight. Keep saying I will but haven't had a chance with traveling taking up my past few weeks. Grabbed some of that Koffury by hoof hearted and it is delicious as well. So much good beer the past couple months.

I've only ever seen MadTree's pumpkin beer at liquor barn in Danville. Thought it was weird because I didn't think they distributed to Central KY. This was back in the fall and I haven't seen anything or been back to the Danville LB since then so who knows.

Hey all. Moving to Louisville in a few months and subscribing to keep in the loop. Shame 70K is releasing next weekend. I'm going to be in for Derby.

We have pretty good ATG distro here in Chicago, though, so I should be able to find it.

Yeah, that one store in Chicago (whatever it is) will surely get some 70K, but who knows how much.

And welcome in advance to Kentucky.

Ah, yes, the Madtree Pumpkin, I forgot. They evidently did that to guage interest in the product down here. Why you test a market with a pumpkin beer (and lots of it) makes little sense, more like a can dump on our area.

Ok, looks like I won't be able to go tonight... Dammit! Anyone think they will have bottles available tomorrow?

They still had plenty of bottles of JSP a week after the release, so unless they bottled significantly fewer bottles of Mexican Chocolate, I'd say a few bottles should still be available. As @IMFletcher said earlier in this thread, nothing local really sells out here anymore

Yeah I was thinking that too... except with my luck, it will sell out. Damn girlfriend doesn't want to go out! Well guess I will swing up there around lunch tomorrow to get a couple bottles and try it out! Let me know how it is if you go!

Went there, tried it (again), plus a few of the other specials. There's cinnamon and pepper in that beer, but not coffee and chocolate. I actually hold the opinion that this would have been better if not barrel-aged, which I feel thins out the beer and doesn't add anything to it.

The Lime Cougar Bait thing already kicked, but I thought the Mango Nacho Bait was good, but could use more Mango, and the Jalapeno/Pineapple Hard Cider didn't have enough pineapple or cider. The heat on both was good, though the cider was dominated by the heat.

I bought a bottle because a trader's wife loves spicy beer.

It did seem like the Mexican Chocolate was limit two per person, because I didn't see anyone hauling 4.

Went as well. I enjoyed it but definitely didn't taste any coffee or chocolate. It was all pepper and cinnamon. And then rum. The entire drive home all I could taste was rum and it was less than pleasant. I bought two bottles, one to trade and one to keep and see what happens

So went and grabbed two bottles. Had a sample and man, that beer is a lot of rum and pepper. The chocolate comes through in the after taste and the cinnamon wasn't as prevalent as I thought. I think this beer needs some aging though. The rum is over abundant so when it mellows out, it could be very good. Surprised on untapped that it has gotten such high reviews. I like the chances they are taking though on this beer.

I had to back my Untappd rating down .25 stars after I got home.

Interestingly, I didn't get any chocolate, but definitely got cinnamon from the glass I had.

So forgott to talk about my Sinkhole experience...

So I didn't get any off flavors in the nose of the beer like I did the draft version. The only deal I think I have found has been the flavors have been rather muted. I get a whiff of that bourbon on the palate but then nothing much else. I get some light malt, but don't get any chocolate malt like I did when I first had the beer. It is still rather average to me, but atleast I can say that my beer wasn't infected like I thought it would be from having the draft version. Might end up trading my last bottle to a buddy up in Connecticut.
