Oh not at all I'm just curious about Monnik. I'll probably check it out either way, just curious if they're up to anything new.

Nice! I will have to walk over there this weekend and check it out.

Got to have a NOMAH! tonight, and that was fantastic. But the Double Kick Drum batch on at Rock House right now is I'd-slap-my-momma-for-cans-of-this good.

Lexington Craft Beer Week starts Friday. Country Western V6 is supposed to be like a NEIPA. Hazelnut Baba Yaga is draft only. Plus other good stuff: http://lexbeerscene.com/lcbw

It looks like there are lots of awesome happenings in the Lexington area next week. I went ahead and had my paycheck for next week made out to "Lexington craft beer week".

Lex craft beer week? Can someone send links to what the buzz is about? 450N release this weekend has me excited because of wonky nuggets. Triple ipas are by far my fave style and I can't find them 95% of the time.

Dude, I posted the link. No Triple IPAs being released, afaik.

Realized that too late. Can't edit it out. If you want it taken down completely, reply to this and tell me so. I had understood your link before I posted sorry brother.

Just saw the Keg liquor over in Indiana post that they’ll be getting distribution from Maine Beer company- is it just me or does Indiana get better out of state distribution than KY? Or is this just me thinking that grass is always greener on the other side?

I agree with you, though I really don't care about MBC. They've been in OH for a while, so I've already had what they distro, and given price points, quality, etc., there's good local/regional stuff for cheaper. Put Dinner on the shelves here, and my opinion will change.

I wonder how many people capitalized on the Coffee Baba Yaga that's been on tap at West Sixth all weekend.

Heading down to Lexington (from Michigan) for few days after Memorial Day and am looking for some recommendations for brews and food? I think I have a solid grasp of the options around but just looking for some more insight. I am more of a NEIPA and German style fan while my GF is more of a sour/gose fan. Any insights would be appreciated.

Blue Stallion has a number of German-styled brews on tap. All the breweries usually have a gose/Berliner (light sour) on tap, and sometimes Country Boy, West Sixth, and Ethereal have some more advanced offerings. Keep an eye on www.lexbeerscene.com for events when you're in town, and their tap lists for local establishments are updated fairly regularly.

Good news for you -- Blue Stallion just announced 6-pack releases of Dunkel and Helles beginning this weekend.

If they canned Lexipolitan, I'd be a happy camper.

Is anybody going to the West sixth Farm soft opening Friday night? I was thinking of going but by the time I decided to pull the trigger they were already sold out. Even though it's a free event.

It sold out in 10 minutes. It's open to the public on Saturday if you still want to go.

I would definitely go on Saturday but I'm going up to Cincinnati for the Cardinals/Reds game. I will be sure to go and check it out as soon as I get a chance. I am very excited for this. I think it will be interesting to see how hops grow in Kentucky.

West Sixth Low Beam cans are on point and fantastic. Advisable to grab some before they are gone. $10.99/ 4 pk, case limit.

Looks like a mini cantillon drop hit the commonwealth. Check with your local dauntless stores, even though it’s prob all gone now. Was able to grab two classics yesterday!
