I'm going to be in Bowling Green\Cave City this weekend. Looking to pick-up some local offerings; what bottle shops and restaurants with good tap-lists (kid friendly) should I put on my list? Also any advice on local offerings worth seeking out? I mainly drink IPA's and Barley wines, but willing to try most things. Thanks in advance!

The only 'local' barleywine you've got a shot at finding are cans of AtG London Balling. Unsure of what else is out there. Maybe NEIPA cans from Bearded Iris. Avoid St. Arnulf bottles.

I think liquor barn and shenanigans will probably be your best bet in BG. From what I’ve heard, check out mellow mushroom in BG for taps, also kid friendly and good pizza.

If you’re driving through Louisville or Elizabethtown, both would be better stops for cans/bottles.

Thanks! I ended up going to Chuck Evans because we just happened to run into it. Picked up some Bearded Iris, West Sixth and Madtree stuff. We ate at White Squirrel and Mellow Mushroom, both of which were great. Didn't realize how close to Nashville we would be so we made a day trip there on Sunday.

What comes first, mad piles of ISOs, or a C&D letter?

450 North has been doing it for months, although they might be going a little far with the "Chamber of Secrets" part.

I just want all of their NEIPA to quit tasting the same. Every single beer they come out with tastes the exact same (and that's not a good thing).......... But my guess is for the C&D.

And the distinct scar on the forehead. This one is cutting it real close. I just want a can of it before they cut it off.

I’m in Lexington for a couple days escaping Florence, who has the best current NEIPA? At Ethereal right now and no fadtastic.

Mirror Twin. Don't know if West Sixth has Low/Mo' Beam on right now.

Went last night and had blazing saddles. Better than the last NEIPA I had there (Christmas) but I actually liked this wanderland batch more than blazing saddles.

Ethereal has been tweaking older IPAs and releasing them hazy, and I've liked all these new versions.

Missing Baba Day would be a mistake. I suspect next year's line will be even more fun.

If any of the locals following this thread have a W6 Wine Barrel Hibiscus Saison available, PM me. I'll make it worth your while.

No guarantees, but end of January is the target date still.
