Wasn't on the Dauntless inventory list this week, which I guess means if it shows up my store wasn't allocated any. I got so many weird flavor combinations from that beer the last time I had it, kind of like chocolate cake mixed with mushrooms. Also heard a rumor some Cantillon is showing up in KY soon, can't wait to see the new money tickers pay like $29.99 for a 375 of Classic Gueuze lol.

Can't believe you guys haven't talked about London Balling dropping- it's one of the best beers coming out of Kentucky!

The first batch was good, but the recent $9 can batch sucks. Super disappointing.

The first batch of bottles was world-class. The second batch of bottles was awful. There's no way to tell which batch you have, so opening them is a crap shoot. The cans, IMO, are somewhere in between the two bottles.

Oh no! The 12oz. bottles were the bomb! I picked up a few of the new batch, but haven't drank any yet. I hope you're wrong! lol

Well, at least I can hope it's not awful then! I wonder if they're still using Angel's Envy barrels (which is one of my favorite bourbons)?

They arent. They used it for b1 70k too, but I don't think they still do on that either.

70K hitting shops in Louisville? Shame I won't be there to get any more!

On another note... has anyone else tried Gnight Rider? Thoughts? I was pretty underwhelmed, to be honest.

Off topic a bit (not a KY beer), but anyone know when Stone's new Pilsner (Who You Callin' a Wussie) hits shelves in Louisville?

Didn't see any 70k when I was there last night. They had 2 AB noirs on the shelf when I left.

Didn't have any luck getting AB Noir here in Chicago. Kinda bummed :slight_frown:

I'll be in Louisville tomorrow. 70K been spotted anywhere else? I missed the release.

So Louisville people... in half of a month, I'll be back. When I lived there previously, I was in the East End and frequented Evergreen and Liquor Barn on Shelbyville (once it opened). I'm going to be in St. Matthews now and will be working near the airport. I'd like to become a regular at one or two of the bottle shops in the area. Any recommendations? My guy in Chicago has really taken care of me and I'm hoping to find something similar in Louisville.

If you are living near the airport, I'd suggest Old Town on Bardstown Road. The LB on Shelbyville closed and the only two I tend to frequent (Springhurst and Middletown) will be a bit of a haul from your location. You can also hit up ValuMarket on Bardstown Road, a sneaky good spot to grab some beer and less than a mile from Old Town.

Thanks for the recommendations. When I mentioned LB on Shelbyville, I meant the one in Middletown... Didn't know there was another on Shelbyville.

Once I get all moved in I'll introduce myself to a few people at the shops. How do the Louisville shops share inventory? Are they on BeerMenus? Do they post to FB/Twitter when new stuff comes in?
