Tell ATG about it. Usually breweries get pissed when their beer is marked up that much. It's not like it had to go very far or is in a really crazy market. $25 is absurd.

Did anyone go by West Sixth for the peach meadoweisse release or know the price? If so, any thoughts on it? I considered running by after work to pick up a bottle...

I think AtG sells to wholesalers at about the same price they sell a lot of things they sell at the brewery.

$12 per, 2 bottle limit. Heard is good, and there's some peach, but it's not a fruit bomb at all.

Nah, that doesn't make sense. Standard markup for a distributor is about 30%, then the retailer is an additional 30%. Put aside LBS's extra markup (70K was $20 elsewhere around town), and it's only $2 more expensive than at the brewery. If they were selling to the distributor for $18, bombers would probably be $30 on the low end at retail. Breweries don't want to anger retailers by undercutting them.

When you can find B&L outside the state of KY, that's what they run -- $30.

ATG used to go through an importer (and still might for some markets), so that caused an additional markup in some markets. We have people saying 70K is $18-$19 in Chicago, so I think that's at least partially resolved. I believe high cost was more due to the distribution channel than anything.

Hey umm now really Kentucky news but I have a Apple brandy noir wanting to trade for a omnipollo: Noa Pecan Mudcake. I'd say These are one par with each other. Yellow bellow or Noa would be acceptable! Please give me an IM I will get back to you.

Really does anyone know where the non super marked up 70ks are? I got one but it was a 25$ bomber. Can't complain though it was excellent.

Unfortunately I missed that one, oh well. Will have to wait until next time. The mud cake blew me away the last time I had it. Chances are I'll enjoy Noa better than Yellow Belly. I don't know if you can too Noa it was awesome for not being aged.
