If you're attending Fest of Ales in Lex on Friday, come say hello. I hope to be working the Ethereal booth.

Not yet, but damn near every brewery in Kentucky will be there, in addition to a number of other well known national breweries like Evil Twin. EDIT: The guy running it is saying not until Friday.

That sounds great! I will see if I have the time friday! Again, won't harp it up enough. I am really digging 450 North Brewing - Juice Box Tangerine IPA. I would highly recommend.

FYI, when I was at Old Town on Friday, they had 70K ($20, I think), W00tstout, Gnight Ryder, MacFannyBaw, and London Balling.

It was hard not to buy one of each!

London Balling was delicious and MacFannyBaw has a super peaty kick to it. Very good but could definitely be overpowering if you're not into that. Wayyyyy better than Surly Smoke, though.

I'm glad someone mentioned that. I've seen it around a lot and am intrigued by the beer, but I've never heard many good things about 450 and the reviews are mediocre at best.

I think their citra fest is very good as a session, the scarecrow IPA is pretty darn good too, but this is probably my favorite out of them. It is hoppy but not over bearing. The tangerine is there but the hops are the main draw. I am taking some up to the river this weekend to try with friends to see what they think. Plus, the price is pretty great.

Tried the Juice Box last night. Lots of bitter, pithy citrus flavors in there but I really enjoyed it. Definitely a bit different than a lot of IPAs out there today, but I did really enjoy it. May need to try some of their other offerings.

OMG, the Ethereal Baba Yaga was so damn good at Fest of Ales last night. There's another batch already resting in barrels, and they're brewing another batch now to put in barrels soon.

I hope the new batch is just as good as the first one. And I hope they bottle it.

    @Nhens0016 @sefus12
450 North is doing some nice beers. Their Scarecrow IPA is seriously underrated- I thought it was great, especially if you like real IPA and not these newfangled, hopless, yeast bombs!
(Now get off my lawn! lol)

Oh, BTW, haven't seen it mentioned, but looks like Jester King has dropped 3 SKUs into the state; at least in northern Kentucky. Seen em at two different spots, just can't remember their names, sorry.

Yeah, saw a couple at Whole Foods in Louisville. One was Petit Prince, which I've seen before around here, and I think the other was some kind of seasonal fall beer whose name escapes me.

So its September so I wanted to start the wandering... Bo and Luke updates? Hope to go to this one this year!

Also, anyone enjoying anything new to the area? I am going to be trying a can of this Braxton IPA see how I like it. Saw The Beer Trappe got a keg of Permanent Funeral in and I am debating whether to go up and try it. That is the one three floyds beer I have not had the pleasure in trying.

I highly recommend trying permanent funeral. Probably my favorite three floyds' beer and one of my overall favorite ipas.

Definitely go try Permanent Funeral if you have not had it. One of the best IPAs you can get off the shelves (once in a blue moon) here.

Anyone seen Three Floyds Skeletonwitch around yet? Gonna try to hunt that one down.

Although... October 24th is a Monday and the 25th is a Tuesday. Matches up with 2015 though. Looks like they re-used the poster?
