Haha, yeah, probably 2015. I'm hoping Wicked Weed does Dark Arts again the same weekend, I'll go to that instead.

They aren't doing tickets? I thought they usually have just from seeing the past posts.

No idea. This will be my first B&L release if I can make it. Are tickets usually around for a bit or have they gone the way of most other ticketed events where they sell out in minutes?

Last year I think they sold out before the actual 10:00 am release time. For some reason, you could start buying tickets at like 9:57.

It was kind of a mess all around from what I remember. I'm definitely going to pass on it this year.

Never have tried this beer so that is why I want to go. Hopefully they will post about their ticket system at some point!

I've heard it's being distributed this week and even on their site it says it's going out into distribution. Friend of mine who is a fan of the band out in San Diego wants a bottle and I promised I'd try to get him one. I'll have to put my feelers out elsewhere

After an awful 4 pack of variants in 2014, I stopped going. Last year with no good variant bottles, the rain, and cluster fuck of a line/POS system it sounded even worse. I also don't plan to go, even though the 70k release ran some what well this year.

It's alright. Good if you're into smokey beers.

Hope it's not impossible to find around here.

Don't buy tickets, they're only for the variant packs. Just line up in the public line and buy regular. Three bottles per person per trip through the line.

Reused the poster? I think never took it down from last year makes more sense. They aren't that hard up for money, lol.

Last year, they announced the variants the same day the bottles were for sale. So, you buy the $5 ticket that guarantees a spot before you know what the variants are. I have never met anyone who enjoyed the fact that they didn't know what they were signing up for.

that is rather terrible. I have seen what the variants have been in the past and they do sound rather disgusting. This beer sounds like they should always have a vanilla variant each year. I bet that is tasty.

Last year they didn't announce the variants until day of release. Probably because they were awful.
The year before, they announced about a week ahead.

The Vanilla was pretty good. The Habanero & Serano, Cognac, Cherry Bitters, and various others are actually incredible beers. I hope for the people that go this year, they start making desirable variants available in bottles again. And more than just 12 bottles of each good variant since about 500 people seem to be showing up and wanting those.

The "Sassafradish" variant from last year they did the individual release for was one of the worst beers I've ever had. I never thought I would have to dump a beer because it was too "radishy".

Speaking of AtG, a new batch of Citra Ass Down showed up around Louisville this week. The last batch was pretty damn good, so I grabbed a 4-pack at lunch.

Also, the IPA they have on draft right now (Slugger Field), Hoppie Johnny, is fantastic. I recommend folks giving it a try before it's gone.
