Mehh...I'll pretend to be unimpressed until I find someone willing to pick me up one. Also a big fan of snifters for kbs and generally alcohol barrel aged beers.

I dont think its hate as much as an honest discussion. Do you think that's an appropriate glassware for a KBS? Do you like the very simple graphics that don't even spell out the beer or the brewer? Do you like this better then the CBS snifters or old KBS glass? I don't think anyone is going to honestly respond yes to those three questions. But its not bad and its kinda cool.

    1. I think no matter what style glass they would've made, people would hate on it. I personally think that style is fine for KBS. Would you rather have a simple shaker pint or is there another style more appropriate?
    2. We haven't seen the back of the glass, there could be a big ol' Founders logo on the other side.
    3. I think each glass (old KBS, CBS, new KBS) is unique and better than having the same generic glass. Until someone uses it, no one can say if it is their favorite glass.

no your right on all those points, also the dimension/depth on the picture could be askew and it could be more tulip/snifter shaped in the body then the chalice-esque look leads you to believe. Good points, good debate, awesome show, great job!

I like the glass and hopefully they don't sell out before my buddy grabs me a few

I would prefer a thinner glass and shorter stem.

Hard to tell in the pic but looks like the KBS part of the glass is see through (and not painted) which is a cool touch.

I'm glad we can have solid discussions in the Great Lakes forums, lately they have been going downhill. Can't wait to score a glass and drink a KBS out of it!

I feel that kind of glass is good for any style, wider in the middle than at the top. I use my russian river stem glass for all styles, even light lagers. I think people get to hung up on what something has been traditionally used for. Do you feel it is inappropriate just because it is traditionally used for belgian style? I personally don't like the graphic, but I like that founders tries new things.

The inappropriate is just from a debate stand-point because when I open a book on glassware it says snifter. I'm no expert and to tell you the truth, 9 times out of 10 I pour BA stouts into little tasters because I split them with my wife or buddy. And I'm with you, I think the graphic is a little weak but something really cool could be lurking on the back of it, though I doubt it.

Anyone else just find it unsexy or not aesthetically pleasing? To echo what steebo said, Ill take it over a shaker glass anyday, its just kind of a snooze for me.

But maybe its the photograph...we've all seen the deceptive social media pics in our days, maybe there are deceptive stemware pics now

edit: and obviously not that much of a snooze, since ill be buying two anyways.

I bet those books say a pint glass is best for an IPA.
