    Hello,

I recently got a new dual-tap kegerator. There is a simple T between the two keg lines with no way to turn one "off". Is having the tap in the raised "untapped" position safe or should I swap the T for one that allows me to turn one of the two taps off when I only have one keg?

Half a fix is putting shut offs on both lines, the full fix is a two product regulator that will give you two shut offs and the ability to put different pressures to the kegs.

Yes, this will stop the flow of gas. Just be certain the coupler is fully disengaged. You do risk a gas leak if the handle is not fully clicked over the notch.
