Anyone have experience with Edgestar's built-in kegerator (kc7000sstwin). Its a under counter install 2 tap unit. I am seriously considering this one as I dont want to spring for the Perlick (too much $$) and need a unit that will install under the counter in a basement bar. This is a 2 tap unit...Can I run just 1 keg on one tap and leave the other line un-hooked?
No experience with it, but it will likely need a tower cooler to prevent first beer foam. You can run with just one line but you won't want to once you start up.
That model does, many of their models are down in the consumer $400-$500 range and do not. The one you are looking at is not that animal.
Thanks...Going to give it try. It may not be worth the extra $$$ but I need the built-in and I like the cooling fan and vent for the tower.
I have the lower end edge star with a tower and single tap. It has worked well for me. The foam was really bad at first. Didn't want to add the tower fan so I just went with a smaller diameter liquid line. This helped a ton. Cut the foam in half on the first pour. After this mod I don't think the tower fan is necessary. For the money it is a good unit
Reviving an old thread - how did the install go? I can't seem to find the video detailing the part about closing off the space between the top of the kegerator and the counter. Looking at this model with their beverage fridge next to it.
I am curious as well to see how this went? If anyone has anything with regards to this product, please advise.
I installed this unit in my home bar in October. It's been a good experience so far. Easy to put together and has consistently good pours no matter how long since the last pour. My one complaint is that the buttons on the control panel are difficult to push. Overall, very happy.
