From: https://littlecreatures.com.au/news/a-new-single-batch-coming-soon We've been throwing a few hints out over on the social medias, but we're pretty bad at keeping secrets so we thought we'd just let the cat (beer?) out of the bag... Some things are just better in threes... think about it: The BeeGees, Blind Mice, even flavours in Neopolitan ice-cream. It just works, it's harmonious. That's why our new Single Batch is called The Rule of Three, because it balances three of our favourite things, assertive hops, biscuity malt and spicy phelonic yeast... if you wanted to peg it down to a style, we'd say it's like a Belgian Dubbel meets an English Special Bitter. It's bottling now and will be hitting the road in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime before you can grab it at your favourite beer loving venue, we'll be hosting Brewer's Shouts at each of our venues around the place on Thursday 13 March: Fremantle Brewer's Shout: 4pm Geelong Brewer's Shout: 4pm Fitzroy Brewer's Shout: 6pm Come hang out with us and wrap your tastebuds around it first!
When are they going to just brew a barleywine, imperial stout, old ale or proper strong ale, or a new IPA? Not looking forward to this one as the previous attempt to meld American/Belgian styles by them, The Quiet American, was a trainwreck.
I think they pilot batched this one first so it may be a winner....others were just untried recipes. On another note, quite frustrating to see the cartons up at $67 for pale, pils, bright, and $7 for pint bottles. I like all the beers but they are getting beaten for price by smaller breweries.
C'mon its not bad guys. Had a sample at Freo today. Phenols are typical for such a belgian yeast strain. I would say its a straight belgian style though. They often use British malts over there anyway.....Tastes like a Belgian Pale Ale if I was to classify it!
