I’m gonna try to stop by the new location sometime this week. Hoping they start pumping out some more interesting beers soon.

@denver10 @aaronyoung01 what are the new beers from B & A and La Cumbre that are coming out this week?

La Cumbre’s is a collab, right?

Also, was it Boxing Bear that is doing a collab with Comrade? Missing home. Damn.

La Cumbre did the collaboration with Comrade. Naturally, I was up in Denver when it was released and by the time I got to La Cumbre, it was already kicked. And up in Denver I don't believe Comrade had it yet available...though I didn't make it there on that trip.

La Cumbre is a collab with Breakside, per their Facebook page.

Not sure when exactly it comes out, but last time I was at Bow & Arrow they mentioned their next bottle release is due in August, it will be a hopped up brett beer. I have really high hopes for that one. Will need to stock up on it as Cosmic Arrow bottles are all gone.

Speaking of hopped up brett beers, Marbles Brett IPA gets released tomorrow.

Per Bow & Arrow's website, their next bottle release is Roam Wild, the hopped up brett beer, on Friday 8/3/18.

Boxing Bear is doing a hazy IPA collab with Odd13. I’ll definitely be stopping in to try that one, now if only they’d start canning...

Wasn't the Comrad collab done back in april and was "Make IPA clear again"? By all accounts, sort of within the same realm as elevated and P.Dank.

Is this LC collab with Breakside, of Portland OR? I had a really amazing IPA from them awhile back. And all things to be brewing and collabing is a 5% honey, lavender, and tangerine sour?

COME ON NOW! Two IPA giants and they go with a sour? I love the style. I love goses and other kettle sours. This is like Michael Jordan teaming up with Larry Bird to play soccer.

It looks like the odd13 x boxing bear hazy ipa releases in bombers (and draft) this saturday. They really need to get their name out there a bit more. Bombers are so 2015. Steel Bender is already selling out of their allotments. Their raspberry dynamite seems to be the one winner (sour).

Easier said than done, but all La Cumbre needs to do is do a DDH elevated, and a DDH dank and you'd break the bank. I think its due time that the stallworths get their shine. I say that with great confidence because I remember when La Cumbre would have their firkin fridays and have elevated or dank with various hop varieties. Amp up the carbonation on those and you pretty much had hazy murky beers before it was truly even popular. I gotta find some older cask/firkin photos of dank/elevated in that state.

The NM IPA challenge wrapped up this past weekend. Blue Corns DIPA won. Pine and resinous dank flavors is what I'm hearing it being desribed as. Very WC ish. So for now NM and ABQ still loves their malts and IBUs

Yeah, the WC/WC'ish IPA still reigns supreme with me. Surprised to hear Blue Corn won, last I tried from them left me unimpressed. Doubt I ever come across it, but will definitely give that DIPA a shot if I do now.

Only IPA's I tried that were entered into the competition was Sidetrack's Citrus Punch and Bosque's Just Bearly. I enjoyed Sidetrack's but was't necessarily wowed (tried on Cask, fwiw), I didn't finish Bosque's.

I don't need LC to do anything with Elevated, personally. Stuff is well hopped as is, adding more is unnecessary in my eyes.

Anyone been to Toltec yet? Bringing on the former head brewer from Nexus has me skeptical so I have not yet bothered making the trek up there. That said, if done well, I checked out their beer list and some of those beers sound right up my alley.

I visited a couple weeks back. I voted for their IPA as my vote in the elimination round of the IPA challenge. Decided it was worth the trek to revisit that one (confirmed it was good), and to have lunch. The burger I had was dope.

So.....Bow & Arrow's new beer....sweet candied fruitiness with some funk is how I would describe it. If that sounds good, try it and buy a few bottles. Myself, I think it's a little sweeter than I personally prefer. But I think this should be a hit.

Looks like their next bottle will be Cosmic Saison with Peaches. I just want a steady flow of the regular Cosmic Saison, personally.

Looks like La Cumbre is releasing Full Nelson in 4 packs this Friday. Will be grabbing myself some of that if stock allows, as I probably won't make it there until next week.

Looks like Bow & Arrow retired Sun Dagger Saison and replaced it with a new saison, Fringe Jacket. Drinking some now and it's a definite upgrade. Lemony, bubblegum, some clove, and peppery with the much needed dry finish...something that Sun Dagger was missing. I've never been into the bubblegum component in many of the Belgian beers, but I am fine with it in this one. In fact, I am a big fan of this one. Been waiting way to long to get a good flagship saison down here.

Went back for another pour of the Roam Wild and to grab some bottles, better round 2 than round 1. Curious to see how it ages.

"Lots" might be pushing it. You caught us at a good moment but it feels like things were really quiet around here for a good while.

@flyone, did I hear correctly that Melvin will be coming to Albuquerque in the next few weeks?

Jeremy, the owner and Travis, one of the sales reps, were at the brewery a few weeks ago. I know they met with all of the distributors. That being said, it can take many months to hash out a distribution agreement. I could totally be wrong, but I don't see them being able to get it done this quickly.

Just happy to have another option on the local shelves, whether it be a couple weeks or a couple months.
