Yeah, there's a shop right on the state line in Sunland Park that gets it fairly regularly. If all else fails, Las cruces is only 20 minutes away. Now if only they'd send Dank down this way...

I hope you guys keep your thread up better than ones we had for Oklahoma. Quite frankly I tired of trying to whip up some enthusiasm for OK beers. Most of the time all the Prairie buzz was about where to find said beers in TX...

What's in those cans/bottles? I spy Santan hefe, Alaskan smoked porter....

I wish for the best. Everyone in NM seems to be on their own planet/wave length.. You just dont see a large online presence of NM beer drinkers.. They are out there, But I guess they want to keep stuff to themselves. Of the 295 ratings of Project Dank, just 23 come from NM users. That's 8%. If you do the same for Elevated, it would likely be in the same neighborhood of 10%.

You have some award winning beers sitting below 3 ratings. Some have won awards three years in a row sitting at 30 ratings. Breweries in the state seem to do fine on their own merits though. I'm a bit surprised La Cumbre has as much traction nationally or regionally compared to the other beers in the state that don't, but are just as good.

The Toucan market in Las Cruces had several cases of Elevated and the Hefe when I was there a few weeks ago. They seem to get a steady supply

Just tried the La Cumbre Full Nelson on cask with Nelson hops. Damn it's like OJ in a glass. Also tried the regular version on tap, it had a little more tropical fruitiness to it than the cask version. Both smooth as hell.

Not a creeper, but I think I heard your phone chime on a untappd check in lol.

I was there and had both as well. Man it is selling fast though it seems. I saw six cases out the door within 20 minutes... by just 10 people. So many people buying "for friends".. Just multiple bombers worth. It gets the name of the brewery out there, so I guess its good. I hope there is some left for inner city consumption.. I overheard some numbers being thrown out. It does appear to be going to other places, like Jubilation, kelly, maybe TW. Allocation seems rather small overall... BUY them now.. that's my suggestion. Dont let the traders or out of towners get them all (nothing against them)

Yup my two buddies and myself were sitting at the bar in front of the board. I had to drive down from Santa Fe, as I know Susan's will have a 1 bottle limit on it. I dropped my $$$ for a whole bunch of Nelson and some LC cans. Cases were flying out of that place. For anybody that thinks this stuff is gonna be easy to find after this week is gonna be surprised. Are you on untapped @Oktoberfiesta?

Full Nelson is excellent, and yeah, somehow we were sitting at the bark with @Oktoberfiesta and didn't connect with him. To me, the really big deal is that Full Nelson is available for growler fills. This is a huge step for La Cumbre, which has long restricted Dank growler fills (they originally didn't, if I remember correctly) and essentially any bottled release. As a mug club member, this, along with not having discounts for members on the Dank and other bottled release pours, was a real sore point. They still need to fix the latter, but having the option to fill growlers of the beers released in bottles is great. Also, it puts them in line with Marble which offers EVERY single beer in growlers.

I contemplated buying some growlers just because of the availabilty of Full Nelson on draft. Price point is great too... I dont own but one 32 oz. growler, so unless I share with three others, a 64 ozer is a tough task I barely managed yesterday lol. So for that, bombers are somewhat appreciated for the single serving size aspect.

I remember getting Dank filled for maybe $10-$12 on their anniversary party.. I waited an hour for one drink (poop beer), which was excellent. But came with a growler and got that filled. I could have done without the bottle releases and subsequent hype. But I'm sure La Cumbre likes it.

Is this confirmed anywhere? Or did you just hear this from someone? Just curious...

Confirmed, I was at the brewery yesterday and it came up from the taproom employee that southern colorado and the western slopes just started getting La Cumbre. It's mostly going to be the canned stuff. @ONovoMexicano was with me.

I grew up in NM. Haven't lived there in almost 3 decades, but I go back to visit pretty regularly because my folks are still out there in Albuquerque.

It has made me happy to watch your beer scene emerge. I can still remember my first visit to Marble Brewing back in 2009, and being really impressed because not only did they offer a barrel-aged strong ale and a sour on tap, but both were really good. My last visit to ABQ was in 2012. Me and my wife visited Chama River, La Cumbre, and a place off Coors Rd. that I think was called Broken Bottle. We also stopped in at Jubilation and stocked up on local bottles.

I'd love to hear more about Marble's Tesla. There isn't a lot of info out there, but a bourbon-forward tart ale definitely sounds Iike my kind of thing.

Marble's Tesla is a very unique sour, it's a collab beer with marble, jubilation, and KGB spirits (makers of Taos lighting whiskey). @ONovoMexicano shared a bottle that he picked up on release day. It's was a very nice balance of sour and bourbon flavor. I think @ONovoMexicano described it best saying it tasted like a whiskey sour. At $25 a bottle and very small bottle count this is a rare beer now. I think only a barrel was produced.
