You are from Oregon but opening a place in Galveston?

Brews Brothers is the answer. But, I think google can generally show this?

Haha. You're not going to have success opening anything if this is how you do market research.

This post really confuses me. How far along in the planning are you if this is the question you are asking?

Some of you are way too harsh. I'll be the first to say more is welcome in Galveston. Craft beer has definitely come a long way on the island.

Galveston Island Brewing has been my go to in the recent months. They seem to have a really nice following and are attracting a lot of non-craft drinkers to craft beer. Brew Brothers is nice, but I'm always on the other side of the island (west). Beer Foot has a nice selection, too, but they only do growler fills of their own stuff (since they serve liquor).

Beyond that, the only other craft spot is Specs. Obviously no growler fills there, but they have a decent selection of craft beer. Some things sit for a long time... stale hops.

If you're going to open a growler shop, put it on or near 61st. That'll grab a lot of the incoming traffic. Stewart / 61st is definitely one of the busier intersections in town.

Not an islander myself, but most of my family are IBC'ers. Good luck!
