I just saw this at Sam's today. This is the dubbel with figs and raisins. I'm curious to hear what others think. I was disappointed in the last release (peach in chard barrels) but am a sucker for special releases from local breweries. The price wasn't posted but it sounds like it's going for $18.99 - same as the last release. I need to hear good things to ante up at that price point.

It sounds great, but at $19, I'm just going to hope someone brings it to a tasting....

I actually can't stand Belgian styles other than sours, but that fact that this is Mother Earth, Brandy, and fruit means I am in.

After the Windowpane Series: Peaches, I don't think I'll be ponying up for this one, but there are a handful of "reviews" up on untappd if collective opinion means anything to you (taking into account that the first people to seek it out and rate it will probably be the most biased). Sounds like a tasty concept.

Thanks Mike. If the homers can only muster up a 3.69/5 so far, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

yea Peaches has me doubting this a bit. I even waited until it was 9.99 at Total Wine.

Sounds enticing. I love the ingredients but am shying away because price point. In fact, I haven't tried any of their windowpanes because of that. So I 2nd what Ozzie said above.

Blackberry was stellar, totally worth it IMO. Peaches not so much. I too will wait to hear about this third one.

Hopefully TW knocks the price down on this one too. Ill let others be the trailblazers on this one.

Wow, that's so what I love about beer. I love Belgians and have been bored by nearly everything Mother Earth has done, Silent Night being an exception, though it's a bit too thin and dry to rate as an amazing brew (IMO). So cool we view these brews differently.

I hate that I missed out on the Blackberry. I somehow just completely didn't hear about it. I thought Peaches was OK, but I am really looking forward to #3. Picked up a bottle today and will probably pop it Saturday.

Yeah, I think I am a minority on the Belgian thing. I figure it is a good thing though, a lot brewers seem to be on a Belgian kick and the last thing I need it another beer style to chase after and spend money on. I loved not giving a d@mn about Westy Bricks. I appreciate it for what it is but I'll pass 99% of the time.

Haven't pulled the trigger (yet), but it's actually $16.99 at Sam's. They're practically giving it away!

You can find bombers at Peace Street Market...and yes this is the best of the windowpane series. Went to Mother Earth for the release, it was amazing on draft.
