I tasted a bit the other day and...wow. Much better than the first two. I'm going to stop by Peace St. at lunch.

I picked up a bottle at Triangle Wine Company in Morrisville. It was $18.99, but they had me at fig and raisins. I bit the bullet on the cost and considered it a gift to my GF. It tasted better than I imagine it would. Fruit was very evident, as well as the spirit taste coming from the brandy barrel.

It was so good that I picked up another bottle and threw it in the cellar. This will be a special occasion beer.

TWC had 1 bottle left. I would say this is in my Top 5 of all time....

Very delicious. Lots of fruit up front and the brandy really came across well. Strong and warming but not overdone.

Fig and Raisins is one of my favorite beers of the year and quite honestly maybe one of my all-time favorites period. Had it twice now and it was even better the second time. I clearly need to try more beers out of brandy barrels because this and Green Flash Sleepin' With Shaggy have both blown me away recently.

Window Pane Fig and Raisins is a fantastic brew. If you still see some around, buy it. Will not be there for long.

Gonna have to dissent from all the people who loved figs/raisins. I thought it was a sugary mess. One of the sweetest beers I've ever had for not being 15%+, and not in a good, subtle way - sugar, brown sugar, and some more sugar, followed by a little more sugar. Glad to have tried it, but glad I wasn't the one who bought a bottle.

I'll take a trip over to TWC this week and see, but I doubt it. Last I was there, there was a bottle left out front, but they may have had a bit in the back stashed. If they do, it might be hard not to pick up yet another... I swear, I don't have a problem....

I'm thinking the next time I brew a Dubbel, I'm thinking I might just throw it on some figs and raisins or dates soaked in some NC brandy.

Last couple reviews hint that figs/raisins might be infected.

And, of course, the next one's out. Anyone tried Raspberry?

They need to either severely increase the quality on this line or severely decrease the price. When Peaches is still sitting around everywhere...

peaches was incredibly too yeasty, not enough barrel, and the base beer was just TOO strong.

    Blackberries was just wow.
