going for French Quarter Fest? sadly in the quarter you will not find many places other than Deuce McAllister bar you have to venture out for good beer. Steins for a sandwich and to buy beer is a must Avenue to try a large selection of beer Courtyard nice selection of their beer plus others, usually 15-20 on tap Nola brewing, go check out the tap room and eat some McClure BBQ 2nd Line, I haven't beer but I her they have a few good options and since every has different taste you may love them. other places to buy are Rousses, Elios, Dorignacs, and Whole Foods. also drinking bars Cooter Browns, World of Beer.
