Premium Draught, Limit 1 per person. Rockwell Tavern has it as well but no idea on pricing. Haven't heard any updates with Specs Downtown.

• Apple nose
• Tart cherry taste
• Very low, almost imperceptible bitterness
• Dry finish
• A light touch of barnyard
• Similar to Jacobins Rouge or the Duchess.

This beer started off as an infected batch of Skylight dunkelweiss from our nanobrewery in October, 2012. Around that time we dropped the bitterness of the beer to around 12 IBUs, which is near the point where lacto can survive. About half of the batches we made at that level soured so we just stored them until we had the time to deal with it. We tracked the source to a dirty oxygen regulator, replaced that and raised the bitterness back up to 20-ish.

Now our new system is online and I'm not brewing two double-batches every week, which gave me time to finally release this beer. Both John & I are fans of sour beers and this mistake was too tasty to dump. I'm working on a plan to make this intentionally, expect more in 4-6 months.

 

Love the fact that you guys are doing something like this so early in terms of your brewery's history. I've yet to try your beer as I live in Houston now, but I would of loved to have had this in College Station back in 2008. When do you guys do tours, I would love to come down, sip on your beer, and talk to you guys.

Vast majority is in CS and very little is in Houston. I will have some bottles that my brother picked up though and I won't mind sharing.

while not as sour and upfront as jacobins, its definitely tasty. who else wanted a bottle that will be at JK FnSF? I think I'm gonna make the drive to CS and get some.
