It is amazing that I'm sure those beer geeks still try to get those wives/gf/friends to sign up for an account and order, but it's a lot easier to roll down with to a release. than to plan ahead for one.

I'm not that big of an Expo fan and won't go to extreme measures to get one any more, but this worked out quite well. I hope they consider this mechanism for the next Great and Chez releases.

indeed. it really beats the whole driving down from L.A. in hopes to get in line in time and what not.

hahahahaahhahaha. Why would they bother sending it via mail? I mean.. does Alpine's postal branch need the revenue or it'll be forced to shut down?

BPT sent the tickets. Here's a post from Alpine on their FB

Alpine Beer Company BPT handled the mailing. Obviously, this was a learning experience for us. If we use this again, we'll make adjustments.

Could be that Alpine being as sensitive as they are for people selling their beers etc wanted the added "security" that people had legitimate tickets opposed to printing something out.

Way to pour water over my joke.

I would pin it more on their complete learning curve on this sucker. I mean, the site went through multiple changes when it went live. First only allowing 1 per order. The paypal payment instead of using their credit card machine, which most companies who use BPT get their transactions sent through.

Here is hoping that they feel more confident with the system and will use it again in the future as it really does make it a whole lot easier to order the beer.

BPT >> waiting in line on a hot Alpine day.

I enjoy doing these things from the comfort of my AC'd office.
