Stopped in today, first full day open. Very nice venue, old warehouse building with lots of exposed wood and brick, nice and open. Lots of free parking, nice outdoor patio. Most of the furniture appears to be made from reclaimed wood. 12 taps, 2 nitro. Beer selection kinda disappointing today, 8 beers on tap (6 of em stouts, we are at Spring House though), Seven Gates and the LPGA Saison. Curious if over time both places will remain viable as they're just over 1/2 mile apart. For venue and location I already prefer the new place for the openness and space as well as the free, easily available parking. Am curious as to what the differences in draft offerings if any will be between the 2 places. My only suggestion at this point would be to break out the mini disc golf basket they used to have at the barn so we can toss discs from the bar across the brewey to the basket. Different, slightly more upscale food menu, and little more pricey than the taproom. Had the BBQ Shrimp, try em for a BIG surprise.
Thanks for the heads up, hoping to stop by soon and was hoping for some details on how the new place is.
Nice- saw the new location was opening but was too lazy to check the exact location on a map- interesting that they (like TH) are opening a second location so close to the first. Regardless, I will have to stop in at some point
Parking is such a deal breaker for me. It's nice to see a joint like this open that's actually accessible.
Forgot to mention, there's a raw bar and I heard the bartender say there would be 2 separate mug clubs.
Will follow up on @DrBier 's post by adding my 2 cents from my stop in on Sunday... agree that the location and the accessible parking are big upgrades. Beer menu scale was tipped heavily in favor of the stouts. Space seems to be well utilized for the most part, but my impression of the bathrooms is that they wasted a bit of space (and one urinal... really?!). Overall sounds like a good first weekend, as they were out of the majority of the food- got a spent grain burger which was decent enough. Our service, honestly, was pretty horrible. Though the waitress claims she "thought we were just there for some beers", we did ask about food and come with a 2 year old... and we weren't given menus ha. Finally after a while we had to just ask the hostess if we could order some food. They apologized and gave us the first round on the house, so that was a nice gesture I wasn't even pursuing! Overall impressed with the new place and things will even out over time with the menu/service...
