New Stone All IPA Mixed 12 Pack

The red is fantastic!!!

 

I got mine sitting in the fridge awaiting my arrival home from work.

I really enjoy Ruination 2.0, although I prefer the palate wrecking hop onslaught from the original.

And I like Pataskala quite a bit too. It seems rather tame and balanced for a Stone beer, but quite enjoyable.

I'm most excited for the Hop Revolver though. I've never even heard of Loral hops before.

Underwhelmed by both Delicious and Pataskala, and want v1.0 of Ruination back. So this was an easy pass at Costco.

 

I just don't understand why they have to stick Ruination 2.0 and Delicious IPA in EVERY pack nowadays. I wish they would rotate them with Stone IPA, Go To IPA, and Ripper Pale Ale. I have stopped buying their mixed packs because half of the beers are ALWAYS the same. It also doesn't help that I don't really care for Ruination 2.0 - I always have at least one or two sitting in the fridge for a long time after the rest of the pack is gone.

 

I know some people weren't too impressed with it, but I personally think it's a great beer and one that I definitely reach for when I don't want to splurge on AleSmith's .394 Pale Ale.

I like the Pataskala. I dislike the delicious because i think it tastes like oregano and never had the other two, but I hear good things of ruination and hope revolver is new.

 

Recently had the Hop Revolver and it was really tasty. Definitely had more of an English hop character too it.

 

Um, you mean lemongrass. (yuk, yuk.)

 

Pataskala and Ruination are fantastic. The revolver was decent. Good malt profile but the hop wasn't as potent as I would have hoped. I like the idea of trying single hops throughout the year though and I think the malt profile will showcase them nicely. Delicious is ok but I never buy it outside of the mixed 12s.

 

Did I miss Pataskala in six packs this year or did it not come out? I dig that beer.

Would prefer the Ripper to the Go To in the assortment, imo. For those of you that have not had the Ripper yet I can highly recommend it. Lower ABv, lot of flavor but sometimes I feel it is more of a freshly hopped Pale Ale. Can't beat the price, also.

 

Ruination is always great but i'm a HUGE fan of the Pataskala Red. i drank a shit load of that last year and i can't wait to get more this year

 

That's the part I don't like. It's odd and like an herb bitter.

 

Ha, I was just playing. Call it what'cha want.

 

Looking forward to trying that Hop Revolver.
