How did I get through an entire BW thread without anybody mentioning Avery Samael's Ale?

Pipeworks Reaper vs. Unicorn. Had it last night and it was the best barleywine I've had in quite a while. Don't know if Pipeworks is available in your area, but if it is, this is well worth the $10 bomber.

It's a great barleywine and does well with age too.

BA Bigfoot and Mirror Mirror definitely.

Incidentally, if you enjoy barleywine, consider it a gateway to some other esoteric brews, like braggat or Tripel or Quads.

Lot's of great suggestions. See what is available in your area, and go for it.

    Cheers!

Pretty much all of the above are good. Also if you have access, seek out Oddside ales Colossal Oversight. Very nice BA barleywine. CHEERS and happy hunting!
