New to Bend

Welcome Matt! I don't do a lot of trading, but I've been successful at Bend Wine Storage and would call there or other wine shops around town before hitting up Uhaul or online. Bend Wine Cellar is by appt., but the owner lives up the street, and he's sold me 12-bottles for $5, so I don't even know what he'd charge for a 1-bottle.

No regular shares that I know of. Lots of beer gets shared in this town, just usually not open invite events, though if you're available to share today and have access to FB, I'd recommend reaching out to Bend Brew Daddy and explaining you're new to town. Without wanting to speak for him, I think it's likely he'd invite you cause he's a good guy like that, and it could be an opportunity to meet a cross-section of Bend beer people.

More fortune: I just received some beer today and have a 3-bottle styro shipper to share. You can have it on the condition that you fill those extra spaces with some locals for your trade partner. Might I suggest cans of recent GABF-winners Sunriver Rippin and Three Creeks Five Pine Porter? Both can be had cheaply as singles at The Brew Shop.

 

I just had a bottle of Rippin', courtesy of Sharpski, and I agree, it would make a fine addition to any box you're shipping.

 

Speaking of Sunriver, do they bottle or can? I've seen them on tap in Boise, but don't recall anything else.

 

Currently Rippin and Fuzztail in 12oz cans and Vicious Mosquito, Seasonals, and specials like Cocoa Cow in 22oz. I believe they're working on moving Vicious to cans soon.

 

Hey gang..

Not necessarily new to Bend(been here about 18 months) but I've kinda been out of the beer scene. I would love to go to a bottle share, meet some new beer folks and bust out some of my goodies I've been cellaring..

 

I've lived in Bend most of my life, and have hosted a couple shares with Sharpski. Let me know if you guys want to get something together.

 

I'd totally be down.. I'm pretty much free whenever. Waay too much free time recently.

 

This Friday isn't good for me, unfortunately. I'll be at the AA release/ bottles share on Saturday, so one share per weekend is all my liver will allow

 

Yeah, it's beyond the "training" period and moved into the "abuse" category.
