Agreed. 90 minute is really good. It has a flavor profile that is different from a lot of other dipas. Can't quite put my finger on what it is but I really like it

It is definitely more maltier than a West Coast DIPA or even an IPA.

    Cheers!

If you have any access to tx brews I would go with the following.

    Saint Arnold - Endeavour
    Karbach - Hop Delusion
    512 - Two
Austin Beer Works - Heavy Machinery
    Deep Ellum - Dream Crusher
    Southern Star - Valkyrie

All very drinkable and fantastic DIPA's

To me it has that apricot-y taste that 60 Min. has, which I don't mind much at all (however I think 90 does it way better).

Precisely what I love about it and the hops are definitely there, but they aren't washing out everything else and the malt really has a chance to pop and shine.

Hop Stoopid was the first dipa I loved. That and Sucks shouldn't be too hard to come by.

You're getting lots of great recommendations, so I'll throw out Southern Tier Unearthly since you're from NY. I'm having a hard time thinking of any DIPA's that I would consider "entry level" since the style is more on the extreme side of the beer spectrum. If you like IPA's you'll probably like lots of DIPA's. And welcome to BA !!

We do get a full line up of Sixpoint down here but not in GA where I live part time. Great beer and Resin has to be tried for IIPA.

    Troegs Perpetual (good starter)
    Southern Tier 2XIPA (good starter)

    Very good ones IMO:

    Burton Baton
    Hoptimum
    Batch 471
    Kane Overhead (NJ)
    Lagunitas Maximus & Sucks
    Double Jack
    Lake Erie Monster

    IIPA's are my favorite style.
But watch out they are potent!

    Good luck!
